Job description :
The Surgical Territory Manager is responsible for the development and management of a commercial territory by promoting a range of surgical products to healthcare professionals. This dynamic role combines sales, market development, and clinical support in the operating room. The incumbent works closely with surgeons, medical staff, and hospital decision-makers to achieve sales objectives while ensuring a high level of service, training, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a strategic territorial sales plan, including business reviews, training, and educational events
- Achieve sales targets for all products, including capital equipment and consumables in hysteroscopy and laparoscopy
- Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, hospital administrations, and foundations
- Conduct presentations and customer visits to support territory growth
- Deploy tailored promotional programs in collaboration with the marketing team
- Provide clinical and technical support in the operating room and ensure ongoing customer service
- Use CRM tools to document sales activities and manage account follow-up
- Provide feedback and analysis on product performance, competition, and customer satisfaction
- Participate in corporate training sessions, conferences, and professional development activities
Skills and qualifications :
- Experience in sales and/or marketing, ideally within the medical or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in medical device or capital equipment sales (strong asset)
- Operating room experience with demonstrated ability to work alongside surgeons
- Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system and hospital procurement processes
- Ability to develop a market around new technologies and surgical procedures
- Knowledge of clinical and economic data, reimbursement systems, and healthcare policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
