Job description :
A well-established company in the Val d'Or region is looking for a mining surveyor technician.
Under the supervision of the surveying and ventilation coordinator, the mining surveyor assists with all underground and surface surveying work. He or she is responsible for surveying excavations associated with development and production activities, as well as processing and analyzing the data collected.
Your tasks will include:
- Performing development (horizontal and vertical), production (CALS, CMS, drone), diamond drilling, and surface (GPS) surveys.
- Marking alignments for development, production drilling, diamond drilling, cabling, and construction work.
- Process survey data and produce plans to track development progress and excavated volumes.
- Prepare development plans and monitor progress.
- Write monthly survey reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Actively participate in the enforcement of laws, regulations, norms, standards, and procedures in effect on site.
Skills and qualifications :
- College diploma in mineral technology, vocational diploma in surveying, or equivalent training.
- Relevant experience in surveying (an asset).
- Knowledge of Deswik software (an asset).
- Valid driver's license (Class 5).
- Valid general explosives license.
- FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7 completed (an asset).
