Job description :

Our client is a well-established general contractor, recognized for delivering high-quality projects in the institutional and commercial sectors. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Construction Estimator to their team.

Your role :

As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for the full estimation process, from initial project analysis to final bid submission. You will play a strategic role in supporting profitability and securing new projects.

Your main responsabilities :

• Analyze plans, specifications, and tender documents (public and private)
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and complete bid submissions
• Participate in design-build projects
• Perform bid comparisons and cost analyses
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Collaborate closely with project managers and senior leadership
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness of bids
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation strategies

Skills and qualifications :

Profile :

• 5 to 7 years of experience in estimation with a general contractor
• Experience with public tenders (SEAO) and private sector projects
• Strong background in budgeting and design-build projects
• Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Established network of subcontractors (strong asset)

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering

or

• College diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering, Estimation, Architecture, or related field
