Our client is an asset servicing banking group dedicated to asset managers and institutional investors. Within our client’s Canadian asset servicing operations, the successful candidate will join the Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, which provides a complete range of services to Private Equity, Real Estate and Securitization funds, tailored to each investment strategy.
As Team Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the effective operation of Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency activities, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to the continued development of the department.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Activity management
- Understand and apply the priorities set by the department head;
- Define operational priorities, establish team objectives and deadlines, and organize workloads accordingly;
- Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time, and monitor performance against objectives through KPIs;
- Provide technical support and expertise to the team in accounting and consolidation matters;
- Maintain service continuity by anticipating staffing and resource requirements;
- Ensure workload volumes are appropriately aligned with assigned resources;
- Maintain open communication with management to escalate risks, alerts or blocking points;
- Communicate process and procedure updates and ensure they are properly applied;
- Act as an escalation point for clients and oversee client and investor relationships at a global level.

Skills and qualifications :
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with Private Equity or Real Estate funds;
- Demonstrated experience in people management, team coaching, development and mentoring;
- Knowledge of consolidation software, ideally Mona (Sigma), and the ability to manage priorities with flexibility when dealing with constraints;
- Analytical and synthesis skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills when working with other departments, clients and external stakeholders;
- Leadership and initiative skills;
- Ability to anticipate, plan ahead and respond effectively in a variety of situations;
- Organized, rigorous and attentive to detail;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of one or more accounting software tools, including BOB50, GPC or YARDI;
- Knowledge of investment funds, securities and Real Estate activities;
- Technical accounting and tax knowledge, including accounting standards, accounting techniques, consolidation methods, corporate tax developments, VAT, IFRS and US GAAP;
- Legal and financial knowledge, including legal structures, legal obligations, capital increase processes, financial instruments and valuation methods.
