Job description :

Our client a Canadian owned company with a robust category lineup in the grocery category has partnered with St-Amour to uncover a Sales Manager - Ontario. It will be remote - positioned in the Toronto area.

The Sales Manager – Ontario is responsible for the development, structuring, and performance of sales for the brands in the Ontario market, under the supervision of the Sales Director. The role acts as the commercial leader for the territory, with a strong focus on opening new points of sale and ensuring strong in-market execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and execute the Ontario sales strategy in alignment with the directions set by the Sales Director.
  • Develop new points of sale, primarily within independent, natural, and specialty retail markets in Ontario.
  • Consolidate and grow existing accounts across the territory Lead product implementation in stores in collaboration with merchandising and logistics teams. Manage, coordinate, and support distributors and merchandisers in Ontario
  • Ensure the effective execution of in-store activations and promotions, including coordination with merchandising teams, in-store follow-ups, and validation of execution compliance.
  • Monitor and track distribution, sales, and account performance objectives.
  • Analyze sales results, identify growth opportunities, and recommend adjustments.
  • Represent the company with retailers and partners across Ontario.

Key Objectives of the Position:

  • Increase the number of active points of sale within independent, natural, and specialty markets.
  • Grow distribution, shelf visibility, and sales.
  • Ensure consistent and effective in-store execution.
  • Contribute to the sustainable establishment of the brands in Ontario.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Experience in sales and business development within the agri-food or consumer packaged goods sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario independent retail channel.
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and develop a sales territory. Strong relationship management and field execution coordination skills.
  • High level of autonomy, discipline, and results orientation.
