Job description :

A manufacturing company located in Drummondville is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join its team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the selected candidate will play a key role in achieving the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

Production launch and assembly support:

• Act as an expert in analyzing changes using the 5M methodology (Man, Machine, Material, Method, Environment).
• Define assembly steps and develop manufacturing routings.
• Create detailed assembly guides.
• Support training and integration of new work content.
• Collaborate in the design of specialized jigs and tools.

Production support:

• Serve as the first responder for technical, process, or method-related issues on the production floor.

Tool and equipment maintenance:

• Ensure calibration and maintenance of tools and equipment used in production.

Continuous improvement:

• Actively participate in improving equipment, tools, and production facilities.

Operations support:

• Contribute to line balancing and time standard definitions.
• Participate in identifying requirements and actions to ensure product/system quality.
• Collaborate closely with other departments.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of jig and small tooling design.
• Understanding of manufacturing principles (e.g., time standards, workstations).
• Proficiency with CAD software.
