Job description :

Our client is a well-established company specializing in the distribution and processing of metal products, recognized for the quality of its service, technical expertise, and operational excellence. Located in the Laurentides region, the organization supports large-scale manufacturing and logistics operations. In this dynamic and growing environment, the company is seeking a Financial Controller who will contribute to financial performance and operational rigor.

Main responsibilities :

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; prepare, analyze, and explain financial statements.
• Provide financial analyses, key performance indicators, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Supervise inventory controls, valuation, reconciliations, and the optimization of transformation costs.
• Act as the functional owner of the ERP system: define, document, and improve integrated financial and operational processes.
• Support the development, engagement, and performance of the teams under your responsibility.
• Ensure robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and coordination with external auditors.

Terms and benefits :

Work location: Saint-Jerome, QC – On site

Competitive salary ($90,000 to $100,000)

Group RRSP (DPSP) with a 3% employer contribution.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• CPA designation (an asset).
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in a financial ERP (Epicor Prophet 21 is an asset).
• Advanced Excel skills (analysis, pivot tables, financial modeling).
• Excellent French and functional English.
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and action-driven.
