Description of the business :

Our client is a well-established organization operating across diverse sectors, including the automotive and real estate industries. The company fosters a culture of rigor, collaboration, and professional growth. It is currently seeking a strategic Financial Controller to support financial decision-making and contribute to the growth of its real estate division.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements;
  • Supervise the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and performance reports;
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies;
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure the accuracy of financial data;
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial information;
  • Implement and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets;
  • Collaborate closely with property management, operations, and executive teams to provide financial insights supporting decision-making and business growth.

Terms and Benefits :

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Montreal, QC – On-site
  • Competitive salary based on experience ($75,000 – $95,000);
  • Eligible for an annual bonus;

Skills and qualifications :

Required Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency with accounting or property management software for financial operations (HOPEM, Yardi);
  • Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial analysis;
  • Solid understanding of budgeting methods and financial forecasting techniques;
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable management;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills promoting effective collaboration across teams.

Qualifications :

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred);
  • Excellent command of English (French will be used very minimally);
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the real estate sector (preferred).
