Job description :

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday – 40 hours

Location: North Shore / Mostly on-site

Salary: $90,000 to $120,000

Position Type: Permanent

A rapidly growing company operating in the industrial and technological sectors is seeking a strategic Financial Controller to support its expansion. The environment is dynamic and innovation driven. The company is located on the North Shore of Montreal.

Key  Responsibilities :

  • Oversight of general accounting, cash flow management, and financial statements;
  • Development and monitoring of the annual budget, with monthly variance updates;
  • Set up and analyze financial and operational performance indicators;
  • Management of foreign exchange operations and contracts;
  • Preparation and negotiation of banking financing files;
  • Monitoring of inventory, cost of goods sold, and production processes;
  • Leadership of the administrative team and continuous process improvement;
  • Management of tax filings (GST/QST), customs declarations, and payroll;
  • Close collaboration with senior management to support business strategy and growth initiatives;
  • Develop and implement human resources management tools;
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including the prevention mutual and CNESST.

Skills and qualifications :

Technical  Skills  Required :

  • Proficiency in SAP Business One (essential);
  • Advanced Excel: pivot tables, macros, SQL connections, financial dashboards;
  • Knowledge of Nethris payroll systems and CRM tools (HubSpot or others) — strong assets;
  • Familiarity with customs and tax declaration software;
  • Multi-currency management (CAD, USD, EUR);
  • Have knowledge of Lean methods.

Desired  Profile :

  • 5–10  years  of  experience  in  a  fast-growing  SME;
  • Excellent  written  and  spoken  French;
  • Excellent  written  English  and  fluent  spoken;
  • University  degree  in  accounting,  finance,  or  business  administration;
  • Professional  designation  (CPA,  CMA,  etc.)  —  a  major  asset;
  • Strategic  vision:  experience  with  holding  structures,  acquisitions,  and  post-integration;
  • Ability  to  structure  financial  packages  and  track  KPIs  by  function;
  • Strong  interest  in  artificial  intelligence  in  business  contexts  (asset)  and  a  vision  for  process  modernization;
  • Willing  to  be  on-site  the  majority  of  the  time.
