Our client, a well-established accounting firm, serves a loyal client base of SMEs, including several agricultural businesses. In a context of growth, the team is looking to welcome a CPA Accountant who will play an active role in supporting clients while working within a highly collaborative team.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and present clients’ financial statements, ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them make informed financial decisions.
- Manage full client accounting, produce tax filings, and provide recommendations on taxation and financial planning.
- Prepare and submit required government forms and reports.
- Participate in asset transfers, retirement planning, and business sales or acquisitions.
- Collaborate with clients to improve their financial processes and optimize profitability.
- Contribute to complex engagements and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay up to date on legislative and regulatory changes affecting clients and propose tailored solutions.

Salary: $65,000 to $94,000

Skills and qualifications :
- CPA designation (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a public accounting environment (agriculture experience is an asset)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel)
- Excellent French and functional English
- Knowledge of Caseware (an asset)
- Good understanding of SME challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions
- Ability to work independently
