Job description :

The Building Services Technician is responsible for the maintenance, proper functioning, and optimization of the various systems and infrastructure related to the company's building services. He or she ensures that the infrastructure complies with quality, safety, and health standards, while guaranteeing a safe and efficient working environment. This position requires close collaboration with the maintenance team and external contractors to ensure the proper functioning of building systems.

Services: Steam, drinking water, wastewater, refrigeration, controlled atmosphere chambers, etc.

Buildings: Factory, warehouses, biomass

RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance with standards and regulations :

• Be familiar with and comply with food quality and safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Ensure that all infrastructure complies with current food safety regulations (HACCP, SQF).
  • Infrastructure Inspection, Maintenance, and Safety
• Perform daily rounds to inspect, monitor, operate, and clean the various building systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on infrastructure to ensure it is in good condition and functioning properly.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of equipment and mechanical rooms in buildings.
• Write inspection and maintenance reports, documenting the work performed and recommendations to be followed.
• Document all work and interventions in the maintenance management system.

Infrastructure improvements :

• Propose and implement infrastructure improvements with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement infrastructure improvement projects.

Collaboration with maintenance :

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to help maintain and optimize the maintenance plan.
• Participate in meetings to plan and monitor maintenance activities.
• Submit service or emergency requests to maintenance to resolve equipment issues related to various building systems.

Management of specific equipment :

• Quickly communicate any problems or non-compliance issues with equipment to the cold storage and controlled atmosphere warehouse manager.

Substitute responsibilities :

• Substitute for the wastewater technician position.
• Rotate every other weekend for all job responsibilities.

Skills and qualifications :

• MMF Class 4 Diploma (or willingness to undergo training)
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
