Job description :

Location: Downtown Montreal — hybrid after the training period

Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Our client is a leading financial services organization that supports institutional investors and asset management professionals through a comprehensive range of asset servicing solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the quality delivery and accurate production of net asset value across the entire investment fund range. You will maintain strong working knowledge of the accounting policies applicable to different fund types, while contributing to ongoing productivity improvements and building strong relationships with clients and other internal teams. Reporting to the senior manager of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and smooth operation of NAV creation and validation, while helping to resolve complex issues and support innovation within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as owner of complex funds and strategies, participating in the day-to-day NAV production of highly complex situations.
  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Act as a recognized technical reference across the fund accounting scope.
  • Communicate complex technical topics clearly and in a structured way, adapting the level of detail to different audiences (operations, management, clients, support functions).
  • Develop recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ways of working.
  • Support knowledge transfer and training, including documentation of processes.
  • Lead the technical component of fund migrations and any other required projects.
  • Lead or participate in daily team huddles and weekly team meetings.

Skills and qualifications :

  • 5-10 years of fund accounting experience, preferably in unlisted funds
  • Investment accounting experience with a working knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
  • Diligent, organized, and methodical
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proven experience in fund accounting, pricing, and client reporting within financial markets
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of fund products, fund accounting, systems, and applicable regulations
  • Knowledge of the Yardi system, an asset
