Work location: Montreal, QC – Hybrid
Salary: $85,000 to $100,000
Position type: Permanent
Our client is a Canadian subsidiary of an international group, operating in a technical industrial environment. As the organization continues to grow and further structure its finance function, it is seeking an Accountant to support local financial operations and contribute to the optimization of accounting processes.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial and accounting data.
- Prepare budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Handle month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Produce tax filings (GST/QST) and other government reporting requirements.
- Participate in year-end processes and collaborate with external auditors.
- Implement and monitor KPIs.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Be involved in Human Resources, Operations, and Logistics, providing support to the COO.
- Support daily administrative, accounting, and financial operations and perform any other related tasks.

Skills and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or college diploma in accounting/finance, CPA considered an asset.
- Over five years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) or an ERP system.
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable working in a multi-tasking, operational, and growing environment.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
