Job description :

Our client, an innovative and growing manufacturing company, is seeking a 3D Draftsperson / Technical Designer to join its engineering team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will participate in the mechanical design, 3D modeling, and 2D drafting of various modules, components, and assemblies, in collaboration with the production team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and model parts, structures, and assemblies in SolidWorks;
• Produce 2D drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing;
• Verify interferences and assembly feasibility according to DFM principles;
• Design and integrate electrical and plumbing routes;
• Develop functional and optimized layout and furniture solutions;
• Generate bills of materials and manage revisions in SolidWorks PDM;
• Collaborate with the production team during prototype development and improvement;
• Participate in the standardization and improvement of designs.

Skills and qualifications :

• DEP or DEC in industrial drafting, mechanical engineering, or equivalent training;
• Experience in 3D mechanical design;
• Very strong proficiency in SolidWorks;
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus;
• Good knowledge of tolerancing, mechanical manufacturing, and materials;
• Understanding of DFM principles;
