Job description :

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our customer's sales in a defined territory (Ontario/Canada and USA). Regular travel will be required to effectively fulfill future responsibilities. Our client is looking for an energetic hunter who likes to achieve goals with an impressive track record of sales in the industrial sector.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively work on business opportunities for customers in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and many other industries.
  • Foster positive and effective relationships with customers.
  • Increase sales by maintaining and growing existing customers as well as adding new ones.
  • Produce reports according to the criteria established with the parameters of their CRM system in order to measure sales success, and to do so on schedule.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, equipment selection and layout diagrams.
  • Make technical presentations and live demonstrations to show how the product conforms to customer requirements.
  • Liaise with other sales team members and technical experts.
  • Work with after-sales support and provide technical assistance as required.
  • Respect and participate in the continuous improvement of health and safety programs and quality control systems.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Engineering degree or significant experience in the technical field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales
  • Impressive sales track record with above-average achievements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (bilingualism required) with developed negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong problem-solving and application of engineering skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively in a team environment
  • Work ethic, entrepreneurial example
  • Ability to handle ethical situations, people and issues with honesty and integrity
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office suite and CRM
