Job description :

No fewer than four companies have joined forces over the years to become Quebec's largest distributor of residential doors, staircases, woodwork and hardware. 40 years of expertise and know-how. 3 sites across Quebec. The buyer reports to the purchasing supervisor.

Main responsibilities:

• Analysis and negotiation are an integral part of the position
• Collaborate with sales and technical departments to optimize resource utilization, inventory levels and transportation costs.
• Identifies and investigates alternative sources of supply
• Compares estimated versus actual budgets
• Manages just-in-time purchasing schedules with project managers
• Monitor specifications for quantity, quality, price and delivery terms with suppliers.

Skills and qualifications :

• Required BACC in a related field
• Mandatory 3 years' experience as a buyer or project manager of steel doors/frames and architectural hardware
