Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Senior Account Manager will be responsible for converting prospects into sales, offerings by identifying and uncovering opportunities within new and existing accounts. Continuously building rapport/relationships with individuals at assigned key accounts will be critical. After winning projects, liaise and coordinate with the internal project management team, as well as the client, to ensure the timely delivery of projects ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed specific sales targets.
- Establish and execute plan allocating effort and time efficiently across all assigned Accounts and Contacts, based on priority and imminence of opportunities, while also ensuring regularity of outreach and interactions.
- Prepare for and conduct purposeful individual and group client interactions and presentations.
- Expanding reach within the allocated Accounts through lead generation, as well as pursuing and securing new and repeat business by strategically following up and navigating multi-call sales discussions.
- Record all opportunities, client interactions, and follow-up plans in CRM.
- Ongoing assessment of the landscape for business-related opportunities and challenges, and keeping your colleagues informed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal team for the preparation and finalization of proposals, as well as project activities for the initiation, client updates and timely completion/closing.
- Timely responsiveness to clients to ensure all questions are answered and any issues are resolved.
- Representing at industry events, client interactions, and sales presentations – in-person and virtual.
- Perform other tasks and activities as assigned by the senior management.
Skills and qualifications :
- Proven track record of excellent sales achievements
- 3+ years of sales account manager experience selling directly to the same pharma Accounts and Contacts or comparable industry and clients
- Strong Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaborative tools (Salesforce, OneDrive, MS Teams, etc.)
- University degree in Business, Management or Science
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset
- Relationship Building - proven ability to build relationship and nurture existing relationship
- Persuasive and capable of progressing the sales process towards closing deals
- Initiative, drive, and persistence
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation expertise
- Strong planning, organizing and prioritizing skills
- Self-discipline to effectively work independently following through the plan, avoiding distractions and procrastination
- Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to quickly learn and meticulously apply sales processes and systems
- Ability to work well individually and within a team environment
- Knack for quickly learning, understanding, and using new software applications
