Job description :

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician's main responsibility is to manage all activities related to quality control and quality assurance, including supervision of analytical activities related to regulated products. He/she must promote quality standards and enforce them throughout the company and at all stages of manufacturing.

Responsibilities :

  • Implement good manufacturing practices for regulated products and quality standards to maximize the manufacturing quality of operations.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the laboratory.
  • Manage quality assurance systems according to current regulations (Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Coordinate the equipment maintenance program related to the manufacture of regulated products.
  • Coordinate stability program, including approval of stability reports.
  • Coordinate customer quality complaints related to GMP.
  • Coordinate employee training.
  • Write standard manufacturing and packaging formulas for regulated products.
  • Write validation protocols and reports.
  • Ensure document management, including the development or updating of procedures.
  • Change management.
  • Event management, including approval of deviation and non-conformance reports (including Out of Specification).
  • Draft APQRs.
  • Manage internal audits.
  • Ensure the application of policies, GMP standards and regulations in all departments under his/her responsibility.

Skills and qualifications :

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry or other recognized training relevant to the position
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a supervisory position in ISO-certified manufacturing (cleaning, pharmaceutical, sanitation, household products, chemicals)
  • Mastery of good manufacturing practices (GMP)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Kaisen, 5S, M, etc.) an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and OHS standards and ISO 9001 standard
  • Knowledge of an integrated management system (ERP)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English essential
  • Good command of MS Office suite
