Job description :

We are looking for an experienced Quality and Production Coordinator for our leading partner in the production and sales of building materials.

Role :

The incumbent will be responsible for checking the quality of building materials to ensure that they meet established quality standards. Provide technical support to the plant in terms of production and OHS.

Job description:

  • Develop and maintain a climate of good working relations and exchange of skills with all departments.
  • Support and help solve production problems for which the Laboratory has expertise, in collaboration with the Plant Manager, V-P Quality and any other resource persons.
  • Produce quality and other test reports.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards: BNQ, ISO and SST.
  • Manage product mixes: under the supervision of the V-P Quality validate and modify product mix formulas.
  • Product evaluation: If necessary, carry out product tests according to standards (air, slump, temperature and strength).
  • Evaluate finished product: Visually inspect produced and sampled parts. Measure sampled parts to ensure conformity.  If necessary, perform leak testing of parts and 3EB according to standards.
  • Enforce laboratory OHS rules with Plant Manager.
  • Non-conformity management - follow up and analyze plant non-conformity and customer complaints - implement corrective measures if required in collaboration with the Plant Manager, V-P Quality and the Design Engineer.

Skills and qualifications :

  • 10 to 15 years in the construction products industry (laboratory, production, etc.)
  • Civil or chemical engineering studies
  • Bilingualism an asset
