We are currently looking for a PLC programmer with excellent communication skills, innate organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Main responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager and in close collaboration with our Senior Programmer, the PLC Programmer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensure machine start-up and document procedures.
  • Write detailed reports on start-ups.
  • Carry out rigorous quality controls and configure digital inputs and outputs via touch interfaces.
  • Actively participate in the development and improvement of control systems.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs efficiently.
  • Provide technical telephone support to technicians on customer sites.
  • Work closely with the senior programmer to modify and optimize programs.
  • Carry out any other related tasks required for the smooth running of the engineering department.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Diploma in automated programming, or in a related field, or equivalent studies
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
  • One year's experience with Omron systems or another brand of PLC
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy and rigour
  • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
