Job description :

This is an opportunity to grow and work in future-oriented jobs.The position of mechanical design engineer is one of the company's key positions.

Main responsibilities:

• Position 50% laboratory tests and drawings and 50% mechanical design
• Develop design requirements for components to be designed
• Analysis and calculations to support component development, drawing up development schedules and budgets for new components and/or products
• 3D simulation, testing, prototyping, risk analysis relevant to design (ex:. DOE, DFMA)
• Validation and qualification plans for new components (thermal and mechanical performance, aging, etc.).
• Prepare test protocols for the various stages of development (R&D, prototyping, qualification), supervise or carry them out.
• Offer support to production for the resolution of problems related to these components.

Skills and qualifications :

• Be a member of L'OIQ
• Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering (test, development, industrialization)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, machining, welding and sheet metal forming. Experience in the plastics industry is a considerable asset
