We are hiring for our partner, a well-established distributor of mechanical and industrial components.

We're looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support customers in the Ottawa region. This role focuses on handling inbound orders, preparing quotes, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. You’ll collaborate closely with outside sales, logistics, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, or reps
• Prepare quotes and coordinate deliveries with warehouse staff
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with support from internal teams
• Promote alternative or complementary products to maximize sales
• Track direct shipments and returns to ensure timely processing
• Stay current with product knowledge and internal systems
• Participate in trade shows, inventory counts, and sales initiatives

Skills and qualifications :

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in inside sales, customer service, or warehouse support (industrial or mechanical sector preferred)
• Familiarity with the sector is a strong asset
• College diploma in Business, Sales, or equivalent experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and ERP/web-based tools
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Organized, self-driven, with solid follow-through
• Basic math skills and ability to understand technical concepts
• Forklift certification is an asset
