We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to join our engineering team in Chicoutimi, QC.

This Quebec-based company specializes in the design of high-performance mobile equipment for heavy industry, combining innovative design with robustness. Our vehicles are unique and are used primarily in the aluminum, rail, and steel industries.

The main responsibilities of the position :

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role of the Electrical Engineering Supervisor and his team is to design, instrument, and automate vehicles and other equipment.

• Supervise, train, and mentor the electrical design, instrumentation, and control team;
• Plan the workload of the electrical engineering department;
• Ensure that the concepts developed are technically feasible, cost-effective, and provide maximum reliability;
• Liaise with other departments (sales, service, project, production, after-sales service);
• Assign, direct, manage, and evaluate the work of team members;
• Structure electrical engineering processes;
• Participate in technical design.

Skills and qualifications :

• University degree (Bachelor's) in electrical engineering or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in electrical design and automation
• Member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
• Experience in personnel management
• Experience in a production plant environment
• Experience in instrumentation and automation
• Experience in mobile machinery development
