Company Description :

The company promotes values of rigor, innovation, and respect, and is looking to welcome an experienced Chief Accountant to support the financial performance of its operations and ensure the implementation and reliability of accounting processes.

Main Responsibilities :

• Participate in the financial statement closing processes;
• Contribute to the improvement of system procedures and initiate corrective actions;
• Collaborate with external and internal auditors during audits;
• Implement controls to ensure payment accuracy and compliance with deadlines;
• Ensure the integrity of financial data within the ERP system (SAP) and compliance with IFRS standards and tax obligations;
• Participate in the implementation and application of laws, regulations, standards, and procedures applicable to a mining complex;
• Supervise, coach, and allocate tasks within the accounts payable team.

Skills and qualifications :

Required Technical Skills :

• Excellent mastery of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle;
• Strong knowledge of an ERP system (SAP is an asset);
• Good command of Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite;
• Strong communication, change management, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to work within a publicly traded company environment.

Qualifications :

• CPA designation (an asset);
• 3 years of experience in financial accounting;
• Bilingual in French and English (an asset).
