Job description :

Well-established company for over 40 years. It is located in St-Léonard, in the packaging sector. It has no fewer than 23 plants across North America. Under one roof, it offers a wide range of products for food, agriculture and nutrition. It is looking for an experienced buyer in the plastics field.

Main responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Services Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for purchasing various raw materials and, in some cases, negotiating agreements.
• Participate in supplier selection.
• Participate in the tendering and negotiation of products and mandates entrusted to him/her.
• Develop and maintain supplier performance indicators.
• Build business relationships with suppliers.
• Participate in the plant's inventory reduction plan.

Skills and qualifications :

• Previous experience in a similar position in the plastics industry (packaging)
• College education (administration or industrial technique) or considerable experience
