Job description :

We are currently seeking a for our client, a well-established player in the field of ingredients and technical services for the North American agri-food industry.Business Development Manager – Quebec and the Maritimes

As part of its growth strategy, our client aims to strengthen its presence in Eastern Canada. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing sales in the Quebec and Maritime markets, leveraging the company’s strong reputation, manufacturing capabilities, and its offering of specialized products and technical services.

They will also be responsible for managing certain key accounts already established in these regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan.
  • Build a portfolio of new clients while strengthening existing accounts.
  • Serve as the regional point of contact for strategic clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, operations, customer service) to offer tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Participate in key industry events in the region.

This position offers a unique opportunity to play a strategic role in the regional growth of a rapidly expanding company, while collaborating with a committed, multidisciplinary team.

Skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in Food Science (earned in Quebec).
  • Asset: Additional training in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of B2B sales experience, with knowledge of the Quebec market.
  • Experience with technical or customized value-added products.
  • Strong skills in business relationship development, negotiation, and financial analysis.
  • Bilingual (French/English) required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
