Job description :

The Account Manager (Montreal) identifies business opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information. He/she finds sources for the sale of the company's products and services, prepares documentation for potential and current customers, and ensures that it is conveyed appropriately. The Account Manager is also responsible for operational functions to support the delivery of products and services.

Responsibilities :

  • Customer and account management.
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Ensure that customer needs or inquiries are met in a timely and professional manner through effective communications, and follow through on customer complaints to satisfactory resolution.
  • Interpret customer concerns and mobilize the necessary internal resources in such a way as to ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing inherent costs and disruption to the workforce.
  • Assist architects and/or developers in the application of the company's products through specifications and configuration data.
  • Portfolio growth and maintenance.
  • Understand the company's financial objectives and expectations, and meet and/or exceed established sales targets and customer objectives.
  • Plan, develop and implement sales strategies to conduct negotiations that, while consistent with internal strategy, reflect customer requirements and take into account competitor offerings.
  • Assemble and present information on various offerings: service, fixed-price repairs, new installations.
  • Identify and approach potential customers in order to implement and support growth objectives.
  • Analyze customer needs and conclude desirable business agreements through the application of the company's products and services.
  • Work with building owners and managers to enter into and renew maintenance service agreements, and to upgrade their systems to meet new code requirements or exploit new technologies.
  • Gather, analyze, communicate and apply competitor data to provide the company with a competitive advantage, and make recommendations for target market pricing.
  • Develop sales proposals and prepare estimates for the sale of the company's products and services.
  • Ensure full use of systems and apply best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain customer information and required records according to established procedures.
  • Manage accounts receivable related to assigned contracts.
  • Participate in company professional development programs to increase knowledge of elevator products and services and company procedures.

Skills and qualifications :

Required knowledge:

  • Post-secondary education - preferably in business or engineering.
  • Three to five years' experience in the industriel field or in a related field or similar industry, including sales, service and installation of capital equipment.

Essential skills:

  • Good command of MS Office suite software.
  • Communication (bilingual): ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
  • Customer service: customer-focused approach, demonstrated by improved performance; commitment to customer service, demonstrated by increased customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiation: ability to negotiate persuasively, effectively and tactfully to gain customer acceptance.
  • Persuasion: ability to motivate customers to act or react in a way that promotes the company's growth.
