Job description :

Our client, a dynamic and growing company located on the South Shore of Montreal, is looking for an Engineering Projects Planner.

As such, the person will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment of project engineering schedule and project implementation plans.
  • Manage engineering matrix resource planning to properly address project priorities and needs.
  • Interface with the project team, construction management and business sector staff in the development and interpretation of information.
  • Assist in developing the analysis of alternatives regarding scope and project implementation plans.
  • Provide expertise for the development of project engineering timelines, including support for risk analysis of timeline.
  • Execute the impact analysis of delays and accelerations as well as the impact of critical interfaces of third parties.
  • Define the activities of critical and subcritical paths; communicate them to the project team.
  • Collect progress updates, apply them to timelines, re-forecast resource requirements and fulfill critical dates.
  • Review workforce planning.
  • Ensure all schedules and planning databases are aligned.
  • Ensure that best practices and standards are implemented to ensure data integrity and the quality of information produced.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years or more of scheduling experience using a business application (Microsoft Project and / or Primavera and / or other).
  • A minimum of 3 years in managing deadlines for projects.
  • Bilingual French-English, spoken and written.
