Job description :

Railway company is well established in Quebec for over 60 years. Their primary mission is to repair and extend the life of equipment, whether it is to modernize it or to literally give it a second life. In their custom project, it touches both the freight and passenger side.

Main responsibilities:

• Define multiple designs, materials and methods for various mechanical engineering projects
• Support assembly, prototype testing, and daily production
• In conjunction with the purchasing team, select EOM components.
• Improve work methods (tools, methods and procedures)
• Support the department manager (mechanical engineering) in the daily management of the mechanical engineering team members: engineer, technician and draftsmen.

Skills and qualifications :

• BACC in mechanical engineering
• Knowledge with one of the software (Solidworks & Inventor)
• 7 to 10 years experience in the manufacturing industry (design issues and experience working on custom projects)
• Must be bilingual
• An asset to have experience with symbols and welding processes
