Job description :

Your mission within the Research and Development team:

Under the supervision of the Quality and R&D Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing food product innovation and development projects, from conception through to product launch.

Your responsibilities as Project Manager - Innovation and Development :

  • Project management: Lead and coordinate product development initiatives, planning and executing all stages of the process through to launch and production, while respecting time and cost targets.
  • Innovation: Design food products that meet quality standards, regulatory requirements and customer demands, while respecting product costs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, production and sales teams to ensure smooth integration of new products into the existing portfolio, in line with corporate objectives.
  • Testing and analysis: Plan and carry out product and/or raw material tests, analyze the data obtained, interpret the results of sensory studies and market analyses to continually improve products and anticipate market trends.
  • Documentation management: Ensure the drafting of technical reports, product specifications, compliance guides and maintain complete documentation of development processes in accordance with industry standards.
  • Production support: Assist production with new products and production issues. Work on continuous product improvement, cost reduction and implementation of processes facilitating the production of products manufactured in the plant.
  • Comply with industry GHP (Good Hygiene Practices) / GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Skills and qualifications :

  • DEC in process and food quality technology or university degree in food science or related field
  • 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of several types of products and processes
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
  • Fluency in French (oral and written)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software
  • Knowledge of Genesis (an asset)
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset)
