Job description :
Join a company recognized for its expertise in mining operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor leads a team to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of underground equipment while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance and repair work on mobile equipment.
- Plan and organize team tasks according to operational priorities.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support and guide the professional development of team members.
- Contribute to optimizing maintenance processes, including preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist in implementing internal procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Manage schedules, timesheets, and lead health and safety meetings.
Skills and qualifications :
- DEP in heavy equipment mechanics, DEC in industrial maintenance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in a mining environment
- Valid general explosives permit and completed FMTM modules required
- Technical knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and electricity
- Motivational leadership and a strong sense of responsibility
- Proficient in IT tools, including SAP (an asset)
- Experience working in Quebec required
