Job description :

Our client, a young and dynamic company specializing in market development and sales representation in the food industry in Quebec, is currently looking for a Sales Representative on the road.

He represents quality products, mostly for local suppliers, mainly in retail (banners and independents), and stands out for his excellent customer service.

He is looking to expand his small team with a dynamic person, motivated and ready to get involved in the business. His/her territory will cover Greater Montreal, Les Laurentides, Montérégie and Eastern Townships.

Main tasks:

  • Be familiar with suppliers' products, services and messages
  • Identify and build relationships with potential customers (retailers and independent businesses)
  • Develop strategies, in collaboration with the sales team manager, to increase sales and consistently meet monthly, semi-annual and annual objectives
  • Conduct in-store visits to food retailers, as well as delicatessens and specialty stores
  • Present products and their attributes, take orders, and follow up after sales
  • File weekly reports
  • Seize any opportunity to learn more about the market and the industry
  • Any other related duties

Skills and qualifications :

  • Completion of at least a college degree
  • ≈ 1 to 3 years of experience in market development or B2B sales
  • Fluency in French (oral and written) and ability to communicate in English
  • Great ease with the Office Suite
  • Knowledge and interest in the food industry
  • Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, reliability and versatility
  • Excellent communication skills, positive, optimistic and resilient leader and team player qualities:
    • Ability to listen and present
    • Ability to convey messages clearly, thoroughly and effectively
    • Comfortable making cold calls
  • Ability to establish sincere relationships of trust with customers
  • Possess a vehicle and a driver's license
