Job description :

As a sales and marketing supervisor, you will be responsible for executing the business strategy chosen by the owner and ensuring the profitability of two stores under your responsibility.

The various aspects under his responsibility affect human resources management, store and online store management, social media management and business development management.

Always in collaboration with the team, the incumbent will have to perform various tasks, such as:

Operations management:

  • Supervise the managers of the two stores as well as the web & inventory manager
  • Propel and maintain the customer experience according to the silhouette
  • Train employees
  • Selection and hiring of sales staff
  • Replacement of sales staff & managers
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings with managers
  • Perform employee performance appraisals
  • Carry out sales coaching and training to maximize the full potential of its teams
  • Prepare work schedules to optimize the salary/sales ratio
  • Be responsible for authorizing weekly timesheets
  • Manage commissions and bonuses
  • Motivate the teams
  • Organize team activities to ensure team mobilization

Management of the Laurentians stores:

  • Ensure the application of company standards and policies
  • Ensure the follow-up and the achievement of sales objectives by store
  • Validation of sales versus objectives and monitoring of ratios
  • Ensure store profitability
  • Plan the calendar of promotions and in-store events by season
  • Organize promotions and VIP events
  • Follow-up of weekly statistics and review with the managers
  • Manage merchandise transfers between stores by assessing needs, transferring products orphans or those with lower turnover
  • Evaluate future balances based on inventory turnover
  • Increase the inventory turnover ratio
  • Participate in customer calls and dispatch the calls to be made in order to build customer loyalty
  • Verification of the daily (advisers) and weekly (managers) inspection tour
  • Present the results of the two stores to the president on a monthly basis
  • Monitor the competition to see products and promotions (at the start, during and at the end of the season during promotions)
  • Ensure the communication of news, procedures, promotions and memos to the teams (follow-up of the communication binder)

Social media management (ms: web, facebook, instagram, google my business) :

  • Ensure the concordance between events in store and on social media
  • Ensure the distribution of newsletters (social media and mailchimp)
  • Help feed social media (ideas, visuals, etc.)
  • Help manage print, web and other media campaigns

Skills and qualifications :

  • 7 to 10 years of management experience in a manager or district manager role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Have an ease to manage and maximize the profitability of a shop
  • Have a participatory management style in order to contribute to the success of each employee in their respective role vis-à-vis the business objective
  • Have an ability to develop lasting relationships with a mature business clientele
  • Be recognized for their intrapreneur profile in previously held positions
  • Have an ability to stand out through their autonomy and daily initiative
  • Have as main values ​​honesty, rigor, punctuality, diligence, interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Have an excellent sense of analysis
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills

Schedule :

  • 40 hours per week
  • Works mainly during the week from Monday to Friday, occasionally on Saturday
  • Must be available to work 3 to 4 days a week in the stores under his responsibility
