Job description :

A Quebec company that offers a wide range of products is currently looking for a demand planner.

Responsibilities :

  • Define and maintain the overall demand for its business sector
  • Lead the S&OP process
  • Analyze sales and market statistics, feed a statistical database, contribute to the effectiveness of communication about the adjustments to be expected as well as the dissemination of information
  • Highlight areas where improvement in forecasting accuracy should be done by soliciting feedback from other parts of the supply chain
  • Escalate any issues related to conflicting inputs or lack of inputs in the process
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide insight into the root causes of demand forecasting errors. Develop and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement and improve business decisions
  • Understand the internal and external factors that can influence demand
  • Support projects related to the process alignment, operational measures, inventory control with analyzes and concrete recommendations

Skills and qualifications :

  • Relevant university degree (operations management / supply chain / logistics or industrial engineering)
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning/forecasting and/or production planning
  • Have significant working experience with an ERP system, ideally SAP or IBP
  • Excellent command of MS Excel
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry an asset
  • Bilingual (written and spoken) mandatory
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to overcome difficult situations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
